The McCoys: A Love Story That Started with Xbox and Ended with Sparklers
Some love stories start in the most unexpected places — for Kelci and Cameron McCoy, it all began with a headset, a controller, and a shared love of video games. Meeting in middle school while playing Xbox, their bond formed over games and laughter and quickly turned into a deep friendship that would grow into something much more.
Through high school hallways and weekend gaming sessions, their relationship grew stronger with each passing year. By May of 2023, after over a decade of memories, they got engaged and dove headfirst into two full years of planning their dream wedding.
That dream came to life on May 31, 2025, at the stunning Waters Edge at Tart Farms in Benson, North Carolina. The venue’s natural charm, serene views, and Southern elegance made it the perfect backdrop for their big day.
Kelci looked absolutely radiant in her gown from Simply Blush Bridal — a dress that seemed designed just for her. Every detail reflected their story: effortless, authentic, and joyful.
And as if scripted by fate, a light rain shower passed through just as the couple stepped outside for photos. Rather than dampening the moment, it sparked spontaneous laughter and unforgettable images — a reminder that the best moments are often the ones you don’t plan for.
The night closed with a sparkler exit, the warm glow of lights reflecting the joy in everyone’s eyes as Kelci and Cameron walked hand-in-hand into the next chapter of their lives.
